Melbourne's MGallery

The Grand Hotel Melbourne MGallery is a gallery by name but not by nature, although it is housed in an architectural piece of art.

MGallery is a new collection of properties under Accor management that features many notable, unique and landmark characteristics. All hotels are in the collection for some striking feature such as their stunning location, heritage, architecture or history.

Melbourne's Grand Hotel is located in the historic surrounds of the former Victorian Railway Administrative Building which dates back to 1886. It was built in a grand style that reflected the state's new found wealth after gold was discovered in Victoria in the 1850's.

The building's restoration has maintained many heritage features in both the interior and exterior. It has also done this while the requirements of modern travel have been added and incorporated. These features include, flat-screen televisions, Wi-Fi, kitchenette, double-glazed windows and beds so soft the waking up in the morning is very difficult.

The hotel also takes care of tickets for all the main shows and exhibitions with various packages of tickets, accommodation and meals being available.
