What time is check-in?
Check-in is 2pm.

What time is check-out?
Check-out is 11am.

Can I have a late check-out or early check in?
Late check-outs and early check-ins are reserved for members of the Grand Dress Circle and are subject to availability. Please ask at reception to check availability.

Can I park at the Grand Hotel?
There is on-site car parking which costs $35 per night. You can come and go as you please. You will need to supply your car registration number when you check in and your car parking fee will be added to your total room charge. You can park more than one car per room (with fee) for functions. Parking is also available to restaurant guests at $35 per night. We can accommodate special cars types such as those with high clearance with advance notice.
There is no free visitor car parking on site though you can try street parking on Spencer Street on weekends or Crown Casino (fees apply).

Is there a pool?
The pool is heated year round to 27 degrees and is open 6am to 10pm. There is a main pool (20 metres length and 1.5m deep) and kids pool (depth .6m). There is also a 8 person spa and dry sauna. The pool is located on the ground floor and can be accessed with your hotel key card with a swipe. You can also access the pool from outdoor courtyard. You will need your hotel key card to access the outdoor courtyard

Is there a gym?
The gym is equipped with 2 treadmills, 3 exercise bikes, rowing machine, weights and weight training area, yoga mats and step. The gym is opened from 6am to 10pm and guests must scan their hotel card to enter.

Is there room service?
There is currently no room service as the restaurant is not fully operational due to Covid 19.

Is there breakfast on site?
There is no breakfast on site, however we recommend nearby outstanding cafe Grain Store. Their menu can be found here. Simply mention the Grand Hotel when you get there for a special deal. www.grainstore.com.au for more information.

Are there lifts?
There are currently three lifts operating. One at either end of the building and a service lift. Lifts access all levels. Two of the lifts are in the original older style and can take a little longer (this is just part or staying in a heritage building).

Is there a laundry?
The laundry is located on level 5. You will need to see reception to get a key and complimentary laundry powder. The laundry has 2 commercial washing machines and 2 commercial dryers that are complimentary for in-house guests. We not offer a dry cleaning service at the moment.

How do I cancel my booking?
If you booked through a booking engine such as booking.com or wotif.com or qantas.com.au you will need to cancel your booking through the booking engine. If you booked directly with the Grand Hotel either on-line or by phone (03 9 611 4567) please call us no later than 24 hours before your reservation date for a hassle free cancellation.

Will I get a full refund if I cancel my booking?
You will need to check the cancellation policy at the time of booking and the rate you booked in. Some rates are “early bird” prepaid rates that are not eligible for a full refund. Most cancellations can be made with a room credit for another night or a full refund, however you must check the policy.

When do I have to cancel?
You will need to cancel your booking no later than 24 hours prior to your reservation date for hassle free cancellations.

Is there wi-fi?
There is free wi-fi in all rooms and free wi-fi in the lobby. There is no wi-fi in the pool and outdoor courtyard area.

How do I connect to the wi-fi?
Join the network grandhotelmelbourne. Enter your room number and surname. No user name and password is required for wi-fi use in the lobby.

How do I get my other questions answered?

How do I call another room?
